Acer palmatum ‘Osakazuki’ is one of the best Japanese maples to grow for autumn colour. It has an open habit and large, bright green leaves which turn a brilliant scarlet in autumn, lasting for several weeks before falling. It’s perfect for growing as a focal point in the garden or in a mixed shrub border.
